National Project Development and Quality Assurance Department

The main mandate of the department is to coordinate the implementation of the National Investment Policy to fast-track the realization of the National Development Agenda.

Specific tasks of the department include;

1. Coordinating the Project Development including the design, Quality Assurance, and approval process working with both (internal and external) stakeholders.
2. Identifying priority Projects to be undertaken to achieve national development strategies.
3. Coordinating the elaboration of the National Projects program including the development of the pipeline of appraised projects and ensuring synergy between the Project plans at all levels.
4. Establishing criteria for appraisal and prioritization including climate consideration of National Projects in the context of limited resources.
5. Developing national capacities (central and local) in the Project appraisal process.
