The Portfolio Oversight Department is responsible for the performance monitoring, oversight, and support of State-Owned Companies (SOC).
Department Responsibilities
Review the financial performance of SOC to ensure compliance with companies' objectives and key Performance Indicators (KPIs);
Review new proposed products or services offered by SOC in order to recommend those that may be suitable for profit-making;
Provide executive management with regular updates on SOCs: the implementation of their strategic plans/business plans, the performance reports and changes to their portfolio;
Ensure increased productivity of profit-oriented public investments;
Analyze the strategic investment plans for the companies and recommend changes to the portfolio based on new information about the market conditions or potential gains that may come from making adjustments (keep, liquidate, privatize); and
Ensure that SoC has a proper governance structure in place that enforces compliance with Laws, regulations and guidelines with an effective and efficient system of internal controls and risk management.
